us this Fall as we soak up some sun before winter. Year after year, Bonaire continues to rack up scuba diving awards and has
now secured 12 different awards in the Scuba Diving Magazine’s Readers’ Choice
Awards. For the 10th year, Bonaire has taken
first place for Best Overall Diving in the Caribbean/Atlantic region.
We have included breakfast every day
followed by six days of morning boat dives along Bonaire
and Klein Bonaire. Lunch is available at the resort or at restaurants in town;
some of us go shopping there and stock up on lunch food and goodies for the
room. Afternoons and evenings can be spent shore diving at the resort or you
may rent a vehicle and explore the island and their shore dive system; colored
rocks with numbers and a legend to tell you about that site.
For dinner there is the resort with great
food and decent prices or a 5 minute walk to town, just far enough on the way
back to settle your food. Night dive, anyone? Simply meet on the dock and go!
As the dive sites can be conducive to
deeper dives, I could conduct the dives for an IANTD Deep/Deco class while
there. It requires little extra equipment and the Divi Dive shop is equipped
for this style of diving.
