Hi Divers!!
Before we head to Rockport I want to let you know we have spots left for Mackinac!! In this area you can see all era’s of
shipping from wooden schooners of the 1850’s to modern 588’ steel hulled
freighters at recreational depths. The target list of dives includes the
Sandusky, Maitland, Minneapolis, Stalker, Cedarville, Barnum, St.
Andrews and more.
This year we
will be diving with Joe & Craig of Northern Michigan Dive Center in
Cheboygan. You will find Craig familiar as he and his dad Bob have been
Captains for us for years. Their boat is docked in the river next to the shop
and we found it to be a wonderful picnic spot last year. They have air &
nitrox fills with a good selection of gear and rental equipment. As usual we
will be at the dock by 8am and return about 3pm.
The fee
includes boat charges, light snacks, and beverages. It does not include Air/Nitrox
fills nor hotels. For those who want bunkhouse style accommodations, NMDC has
converted the upstairs of their shop into
dorm rooms.
