Hi Divers,
The Grand Rapids Scuba Club is having their Annual Holiday party and all are invited. This is a great chance as a new diver to wine and dine with some of the ‘locals’ and donate to a worthy cause.
Those who have been diving awhile may want to come to enjoy the company and perhaps express new ideas on ‘RSVP’ vs. ‘come when and as you can’ for dive dates and picnics. I know from experience that most people don’t make decisions until the last minute due to work, weather, family, etc. That’s why I let everyone take care of their own food and personal needs while I plow ahead with a group shore dive plan; someone always shows up as a buddy and the beach is free.
Try to make this fun event on Saturday, but if you can’t the first Monday of each winter month they meet at the Rio Grande on Northland Dr for a social, typically with someone speaking about diving or travel, with snacks and libations.

WE WILL PROVIDE THE ENTREE, POP and WATER, just BRING A DISH TO PASS (Alcohol is permitted) [Rumor has it that someone is donating a keg of beer for the event].
We will be having another White Elephant Gift Exchange. Clean out your closets and bring a wrapped “gently used” item from home! Let’s have some fun – be creative!!
This event is for members and their families You can join or renew your membership at the party. Membership dues remain at $20 per household (yearly).
We will be having our usual raffle, along with a 50/50 raffle. Raffle Tickets are: $1 for one ticket; $5 for six; $10 for 12; or $20 for 25 (50/50 raffle tickets will be sold separately)
