Hi Divers,
You have not heard from me this last week on our trip to Curacao and it is with heavy heart that I bring news.
On the return from a group, night shore dive in front of the resort Clarence “Buzz” Hesselink had problems and was brought in the last 30 yards to
be met at waters edge by doctors and nurses who were guests of the resort and even the local surgeon who all helped the ambulance crew try to stabilize him for the trip to the hospital.
Everyone did their best but we now know blocked arteries and a heart attack took Buzz from Linda and the rest of us on his 179th dive.
Anyone who ever met Buzz will remember him and many will miss him.
There will be a memorial service in Sparta at a date to be announced.
