Hi Divers
It’s been a little over three weeks since the shutdown and many of us are going a little stir crazy. I have been in the shop from noon to 6pm lately and have also been diving with a few of the staff at Lake 16 to fix a platform that has been there for years, but had crashed.
This Saturday, we are turning our attention to Baptist Lake, our normal training center, for a little fun and cleanup of the beach and dive decks. For the first part of the year at least the gate will be locked due to high water as they are trying to keep wakes down. American Dive Zone will have a key for the gate so we may run classes and fun dives. Private Diving is still allowed, you will just need to move your gear from the parking lot down to the beach and back, perhaps a small wagon could help.
We are hoping for a limited opening of our lives on May 1, but are still moving the Gilboa trip to late May at this time and the PADI Rescue class water work to the first week of June. Academic sessions for open water diver will now be done online with PADI.com followed by a Zoom session before the pool work. As of right now we are doing dry suit classes and advanced open water dives at the lake, call us to get on the list.
For those of you that were not able to do your lake dives down south on vacation, we will be starting them in the next couple of weeks for those that are ready, give us a call.
I am at the shop from noon to 6 pm Monday through Friday doing repairs and other projects. This could be a great time to get hold of the shop and drop off that gear for inspection before the season starts. You could ship regulators to American Dive Zone or get hold of me and I will pick them up at the back door.
Also, I am putting together a tank order for anyone who would like to order something special.
Call me.

Thanks,

Mike & the Staff
